Our strategy has three pillars:

1. Progress our YXY technology, to produce green building blocks. These building blocks are the smallest parts that enable the transition from the oil-based economy to a green and sustainable world. The process converts biomass into furanics. YXY feeds a green economy by delivering on both price and performance. We plan to exploit the commercial value of the YXY technology by licensing it to market leaders and challengers.

2. Continue to grow our profitable high-throughput services & systems business, in the area of catalysis research. Our customer base contains industry leaders in the chemical, refinery and petrochemical industries,  including Shell, Sasol, BP, PetroBras, IFP and Celanese.

3. Continue to expand our enhanced high-throughput technology platform, on which we have successfully developed our YXY technology and built our services & systems business. Investing in Avantium is investing in a breakthrough process to produce a range of green products that compete on price and performance.
